This Sunday and every Sunday, Heroic Adventures will be hosting Pokemon League.

The event is scheduled to begin at 1:00 PM on Sunday, July 31st and will wrap up around 3:00 PM.

There is no entry fee for Pokemon League.

Bring in your deck and compete to earn prizes each week.  Pokemon is played with a 60 card minimum deck.  Prizes include limited edition promotional cards, stickers, and other Pokemon goodies.

We also have parental volunteers on hand to keep kids supervised and organized.

Final 8 players will meet to determine the results of the 40K Fight Club event.

Event starts at 4:00 PM

On July 31st we will be closed all day while we move the store!

This Friday and every Friday, Heroic Adventures will be hosting Friday Night Magic.

The cost to enter is $15.  This entry fee will guarantee you 3 Magic the Gathering Core Set 2011 (M11) booster packs, as well as one guaranteed pack of prize support.

The event format is a booster draft.  For more information on Magic formats click here.

For 8 players the prize support is structured in the following way:
1st Place: 8 Packs
2nd Place: 4 Packs
3rd Place: 3 Packs
4th Place: 3 Packs
5th to 8th: 1 Pack

Prizes scale with the number of players.  Door prizes are also given away, including limited edition playmats and cards!

We have not missed sanctioning for FNM in months and we are usually able to run multiple draft pods.

The Dungeons and Dragons Encounters program is in full swing at Heroic Adventures! Stop by and play in a weekly two hour campaign supplied by Wizards of the Coast! Anyone is welcome to join in, and you don't have to worry about the process of character creation - Pre-gens are supplied and loaded with unreleased character options from the upcoming Dark Sun Campaign Setting. All you have to do is show up from 6-8 on Wednesday nights and play!

- The Dark Sun Campaign Setting is the setting used in this season(campaign) of D&D Encounters. Dark Sun is a post-apocalyptic desert setting where magic has destroyed much of the world. It has new races, new monsters, and a new spin on the whole D&D world. Encounters is the best way to explore the desert world of Athas before the campaign setting books come out in August.
- Each session begins on Wednesdays at 6 p.m. and ends at 8 p.m., providing a consistent two-hour session length. We do start at 6 sharp, so it's best to show up a couple minutes early.
- Pregenerated Characters so that you don't have to worry about spending hours on character creation. The pre-gen characters also showcase new options from the upcoming Dark Sun Campaign Setting.
- Renown Points are awarded to players so that if you stick with the campaign, you start to gain an edge over the monsters.
- Everyone is welcome to join in, so don't be shy about coming up to the shop to play. We're still capable of accomodating plenty of new players.
- Single encounter design of the module means that you don't have to worry as much about catching up if you miss a session.

If you have any further questions: Call up to the store at 618-659-0099. Your best bet would be to call Mondays or Fridays from 6 p.m. to midnight in order to reach Lucas, who is currently running the Encounters program at Heroic.

UPDATE: On July 16th, we will be starting Chapter 2 of D&D Encounters Season 2. All characters will automatically level to 2, and the campaign will continue on from the desert chase of chapter 1. If you're leery about jumping into the middle of the story, firstly; don't be, secondly; the chapter transitions would be the best time to join in!

Unfortunately the originally scheduled Hordes: Genesis event will not be taking place this day.

This Saturday, Heroic Adventures will be hosting a Warhammer 40K Tournament.

The tournament will be played at 2000 Points.

The event begins at 10:00.

The tentative schedule for the event is as follows:
Round 1: 10:15 to 12:15
Lunch break: 12:15 to 1:00
Round 2: 1:15 to 3:15
Round 3: 3:30 to 5:30

The entry fee for the event is $10.

Prize payout will be 150% of the collected entry fees.  This amount will be divided accordingly between the top placing participants.

We do not require that armies be fully painted, but we do ask that they are primed.

Forgeworld models are acceptable but Forgeworld rules are not permitted.  If you have questions about other non-Citadel models please inquire.

We request that all participants submit an army list by close of business Thursday night.  The file can be in any format, but Army Builder is preferred.

We have a cap of 12 players for this event, make sure to sign up early.

This Thursday, July 22nd at 6:00 PM we will host the Hordes Progression League.

The goal of the league is to get a Hordes force for new players, or to get existing players into a brand new army.

This is the first week that the overall points for the league will begin.

The prize support for the league is as follows:
1st: $50 store credit
2nd: $35 store credit
3rd: $15 store credit

League players get 20% off Hordes products!

Monday night we stay open late so you can play games until the wee hours of the night. On Sunday, July 18th at 12:30 PM a group of casual Axis & Allies miniatures players will be meeting.

They're an open group and welcome all new players.

On Saturday July 17th at 10:00 AM Heroic Adventures will hold a release for the Magic the Gathering 2011 Core Set.

The entry fee for the event is $25.  This fee will guarantee you the six packs required to play in the event as well as at least 1 pack of prize support.

Prize support is set at 5 packs per person into a pool.  The first place winner is guaranteed a booster box.  Prizes are divided on a sliding scale depending on the numbers of players involved.

We have a maximum capacity of 36 players for the event so make sure to pre-register for the event.  Pre-registration for the event will open up on July 9th at Friday Night Magic.

The event will be sanctioned by Wizards of the Coast.

There will be a level 1 judge on hand for the event.

A prize pool of 2 packs per person will be created with a payout of 8-4-2-2 per pod of 8.
